BrewDog Hazy AF Review: A Bold and Juicy Alcohol-Free IPA That Delivers
Manufacturer Description
“All the attitude, all the flavour but none of the alcohol. Say hello to the juiciest alcohol-free beer in town. Tropical fruits and grassy notes mix it up. Oats and wheat unite for a smoother ride. Full flavour, no alcohol, all out New England” – Brewdog.
About BrewDog
Founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, BrewDog is a Scottish brewery and pub chain based in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Now considered one of the most prominent craft breweries in Europe, BrewDog has gained recognition for its bold branding and diverse beer portfolio.
The brewery claims to be the “#1 Craft Brewer in Europe,” though this hasn’t been independently verified. BrewDog produces a wide array of beers, including bestsellers like Punk IPA, as well as limited editions and an expanding range of alcohol-free options.
Introducing Hazy AF
Hazy AF is BrewDog’s alcohol-free version of its fan-favourite Hazy Jane – a New England-style IPA known for its cloudy appearance and juicy, fruity flavour profile.
This review dives into whether Hazy AF lives up to the reputation of its full-strength sibling.

Tasting Review: Aroma, Appearance & Drinkability
Aroma
Pleasantly aromatic, with fresh and fruity citrus notes up front. Inviting and vibrant without being overwhelming.
Appearance
Hazy AF pours with a cloudy golden hue and a small but stable head. The carbonation is spot on, giving the beer a lively and fresh look in the glass.
Taste & Mouthfeel
This alcohol-free IPA brings a complex, hoppy flavour that’s balanced with subtle notes of apricot and mango. The slight bitterness on the finish is mild and doesn’t linger. Overall, the mouthfeel is smooth and fizzy, making for a super drinkable experience.
Verdict: Does Hazy AF Live Up to Hazy Jane?
I’ve been a fan of BrewDog for years, discovering the brand during lockdown via online beer bundles. Hazy Jane quickly became a favourite, so naturally, I was excited to try its alcohol-free sibling.
Hazy AF didn’t disappoint. It captures the juicy, refreshing essence of the original and delivers surprisingly rich flavour for an alcohol-free beer. Honestly, if I didn’t know it was alcohol-free, I’d think I was drinking the original.
If you’re into hazy IPAs, this one is well worth a try.
