Tasting Notes

Aroma

Straight from the can, you get a burst of biscuity malt layered with soft, floral hop notes. Pour it into a glass and the aromas really open up ripe peach, juicy orange peel, and hints of mango mingle with a subtle sweetness and a whiff of sparkling wine like grape.

Appearance

Cult pours a hazy golden-amber, capped with a thick, creamy head that sticks around. It looks every bit the part of a modern craft hazy pale, with that inviting cloudy glow that promises juiciness.

Taste & Mouthfeel

This is where Cult really delivers. The Superdelic®, Nectaron®, and Nelson Sauvin hops shine through, bringing waves of tropical fruit think peach, pineapple, and a splash of passionfruit balanced by zesty citrus and a gentle bitterness. A subtle red berry note adds depth, while a candy-like sweetness keeps things playful.

The mouthfeel is soft and smooth, helped by the addition of oats, with a lively carbonation that lifts the flavours without feeling fizzy. It’s got more body than many alcohol-free beers, making it feel like a proper pint rather than a watered-down substitute.

Final Verdict

Mash Gang have a knack for brewing alcohol-free beers that don’t feel like compromises, and Cult is no exception. It’s juicy, hoppy, and complex, with a bitterness that keeps you coming back for another sip. The peach and citrus undertones work beautifully with the tropical hop character, and the flavour actually builds as you drink.

If you’re into hazy pales but want to skip the hangover, this is one to keep stocked in your fridge.
